No, not the show with Flavor Flav and those chicks from the hood! But the promotional phrase on coffee mugs, t-shirts, magnets and any other cheap, made-in China souvenir you could imagine. Anyway, having just returned from the Big Apple last night, I have to disagree with the sentiment. I don't love New York. Maybe its the traffic, the noise, the crowds, the concrete, the high cost of living. Maybe its all those things. I guess its an OK place to visit, but I sure wouldn't want to live there. In fact, I feel sorry for the people who have to live there.
I'll take Holly Springs any day. Give me an acre or .4, where I can watch the dog chase a ball, or some streets I can walk down without being hit by a bus. Or some country roads where I can hammer with 50 or 60 of my closest bike riding friends on Sunday afternoons. By the way, since this will be the first post on this blog, welcome. I hope you return often to read other posts. Let me know what you think. You can sign up to be alerted via email when a new post is added. I might post once a week or so. Thanks!

one shoe at a time? I would think you had more soul than that....lol
Cindy and I have just returned from a 5 day visit to NYC. I love NY. I also hate NY, for the same reasons. I heard that there are 23,000 people per square block, with all of those folks there is a wide variety of people and cultures(GOOD) but with so many crammed into a small area it seems like it would be hard not to lose your cultural identity.(BAD) Take for example Little Italy a shadow of its formal self now being engulfed by China Town. We ate there our greeter was a young russian beauty and our server was of South American dissent. The food was good though. The thing that i like is that you can find anything that you want in NY, and it is like no other place on earth. I have had my fill for a while and am ready to travel to a different destination. Mabey somewhere in the Carribean, You know a place with all that sun (and sunburn), with all that booze (and hangovers), and all that sand(how do i get it out of my pants), and all those cute foriegners( they cant even speak english) I guess what it comes down to is that vacations are much like life in that they are what YOU make of them. Have a great day Gerre
Scott,
Your best biking friends are still here in Ohio. Up here, after 50 or 60 miles we're all dead. "Hills baby, hills.
Your Best biking friend - Todd
Love, life, politics? Why so serious Scott? Lance was wrong. It is about the bike, or more like my poor soul thats riding it. We're ready for GOBA and another great riding season. Maybe this year we can actually ride the Sweet Corn Challenge with you. Let us know. Hope you and the family are doing well. All is fine here. Pam says Hey!
God Bless, (He really does)
